Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about our kiln-dried logs: ordering, delivery and storage. If you have any questions that are not answered here, please get in touch.

How long will my logs last in storage?

As long as they're kept dry, kiln-dried logs will remain in excellent condition for an extended period. We recommend using them within the season to get the best burn performance.

How should I store my logs?

For best results, store your logs in a dry, well-ventilated space such as a log store, shed, or garage. Keeping them off the ground and protected from rain will help maintain their low moisture content.

Do you deliver to my area?

We deliver across Winchester, Basingstoke, Andover, Alresford and the surrounding villages within a 15-mile radius of our warehouse.

Where will my logs be delivered?

We deliver to your driveway or hardstanding. Our drivers will do their best to accommodate placing the delivery as close to where you need it as possible.

Can I change my delivery slot?

Yes — use the link in your order confirmation to return to the slot picker and choose a different date that suits you.

How quickly will my order arrive?

We aim to offer a delivery slot within 3 working days of your order being placed. You'll choose your preferred slot at checkout.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery is free for all orders within our 15-mile delivery radius. There are no hidden charges.

Can I order multiple bags?

Yes — you can order as many bags as you need in a single order. If you're planning ahead for the season or have a larger property, ordering in bulk is a great way to ensure you're well stocked.

How do I place an order?

Simply browse our shop, add your logs to the basket, and choose your preferred delivery slot at checkout.

What does "kiln dried" mean?

Kiln drying is a controlled process where freshly cut wood is placed in a large oven (kiln) and dried to remove moisture. This results in logs that are ready to burn straight away, rather than needing to be seasoned outdoors for a year or more.

What is the moisture content of your logs?

All our logs have a moisture content below 20%, meeting the UK government's Ready to Burn standard. Lower moisture content means more heat, less smoke, and a cleaner burn — better for your home, your flue, and the environment.

Are your logs Ready to Burn certified?

Yes. Ready to Burn is an official certification scheme that guarantees wood fuel meets the below-20% moisture threshold. Burning certified logs also keeps you compliant with the UK's clean air regulations.

What species of wood are your logs?

We specialise in kiln-dried birch logs, which are known for their excellent heat output, clean burn, and attractive flame.

What is the minimum order?

Our minimum order is one bag of logs, priced at £150.
